Malian Independence Day
September 22 an important date here in Mali. As we travel around town everyone is out celebrating this day. Yet all around us people are still bound by what has bound them for centuries, fear. As we have been interacting specifically with Te Pama fear is an overriding factor in all she does and experiences. We know personally that “perfect love casts out fear”. When will those around us come to find peace in Jesus? A very good question.
We have spent the last two weeks in Koutiala watching over the care of Te Pama and her 15 month old daughter Bobai. The little one was so malnourished that bringing her to the Hospital for Women and Children staffed by caring Alliance people was the only thing we could do. Now as we come to the end of her care we look forward to our return to Sofaraba. We trust that the exclusive time spent with this family will bring them all to a saving knowledge of Jesus.
